About Our San Diego BLSO Courses
The Basic Life Support in Obstetrics (BLSO) course helps improve the management of normal deliveries, and OB emergencies by standardizing the skills of first responders, emergency personnel and other maternity care providers.
Adapted from the ALSO (Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics) Course, BLSO offers evidence-based, hands-on workshops using both mnemonics and case-based discussions that help promote teamwork. Pre-hospital care and transition are improved when all caregivers share a conceptual framework
The BLSO curriculum is designed for EMS Pre-hospital providers, First responders and emergency room personnel, Medical, nursing, and Physician Assistant students
