Oceanside ACLS Courses
Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a 2-year American Heart Association ACLS Certification.
About Course Options
There are five course options for ACLS at our Oceanside location:
Option 1: ACLS Full Course
- Classroom training for first time or students with expired cards.
- Class average 8-9 Hours, with 2.5 hours of pre-course work.
- CEUs available for most healthcare professions
Option 2: ACLS Update / Renewal Course
- Classroom training for students with an unexpired card.
- Class average 4.5 Hours, with 2.5 hours of pre-course work.
- CEUs available for most healthcare professions
Option 3: ACLS Online Fast-Track
- Online and in-person hybrid for new or renewing students
- Includes online access (4 hrs) and instructor-led skills testing (1.5 hrs)
- Online access provided in confirmation email
- Refunds not available for Fast-Track Courses
Option 4: Skills Testing Only
- ACLS HeartCode Completion Certificate required (access not included)
- Instructor-led (1.5 hrs) Skills Testing
Option 5: ACLS & PALS 1-Day Renewal
- Renewal option for students with unexpired certifications.
- Class Length: 1 day; up to 10 hours.
- BLS Renewal add-on available.
Mandatory Pre-Course Requirements
The AHA requires all students taking ACLS to complete the Pre-Course Self-Assessment and Precourse Work.
- After registration students will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to do the Pre-Course Work.
- You can take the exam over until a passing grade is achieved.
- You MUST print or email a copy of your precourse certificate with your name on it before entering the class. If emailing please send a copy to: [email protected].

Healthcare providers such as: physicians, nurses, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, and other professionals who may respond to a cardiovascular emergency.
Oceanside ACLS Course Content
- American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care
- Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device and use of an (AED)
- Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
- Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia
- Airway management
- Related pharmacology
- Management of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and stroke
- Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team.
About Our Oceanside ACLS Course
The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course at our Oceanside location is intended for healthcare workers who direct or participate in the resuscitation of a patient.
The course emphasizes the importance of CPR to patient survival, the integration of effective basic life support with advanced cardiovascular life support interventions, and the importance of effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation.
