About Our San Diego ACLS Instructor Training Course
Our American Heart Association ACLS Instructor Courses are designed to prepare instructor candidates to teach healthcare professionals the ACLS knowledge and skills used in responding to resuscitation situations. Instructor candidates learn to teach in a variety of methods that include lectures, small group discussions, and scenario-based skills practice.
By completing this course, instructor candidates can manage course timelines and administration of course documents in compliance with American Heart Association guidelines.
The purpose of the ACLS Instructor Course is to develop proficiency in teaching, organizing, and conducting a provider course. Upon completion of the course, ACLS Instructor Candidates will have the ability to demonstrate in-depth factual knowledge of emergency cardiac care, as well as how to design a provider course to meet the needs of a particular student population.
Currently accepted principles of adult learning, the use of interactive teaching strategies, and the ability to sequence instruction and evaluate progress are essential parts of the course.
