After registration students will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to do the Pre-Course Work. You can take the exam over until a passing grade is achieved. ACLS builds on the foundation of BLS and is appropriate for healthcare workers who may be called on to participate in an adult resuscitation. In addition to responding to cardiac arrest and post-arrest, participants learn to identify and treat early signs of cardiac complications to prevent progression to cardiac arrest. What are the course completion requirements for ACLS? ACLS certification is given to students who successfully complete the 50-question ACLS exam with a passing score of 84% and can function appropriately in various team scenarios. How long does it typically take to complete the ACLS course? Students should allow approximately 3 hours to complete the online, pre-course material.
