About Course Options There are three TNCC course options at our San Diego Mission Valley location. Option 1: TNCC Provider Core Course Length: 2 days; 12 hours The TNCC Full Course is designed for first-time candidates or TNCC providers with an expired certification Option 2: TNCC Renewal Fast Track Length: 1 day; 4 to 6 hours The TNCC 1-Day Renewal is designed for current TNCC providers with an unexpired certification Option 3: TNCC Challenge Course Length: Up to 4 hours The Challenge Course is designed for providers with an unexpired TNCC certification This a pass/fail test-out. Candidates must be prepared to test upon arrival. No remediation will be given. An active RN license is required to become a certified TNCC provider. Hands-on Training Through an Individual and Team Approach Focusing on rapid identification of life-threatening injuries, comprehensive patient assessment, and enhanced intervention for better patient outcomes. Three Psychomotor skill stations will cover: Trauma Nursing Process, Airway and Ventilation, and Trauma Interventions. Comprehensive Manual The TNCC Eighth Edition Manual was developed to reinforce and supplement the lectures and skills stations.
