What to Expect in the PALS Classroom
Express Training Solutions’ Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course is intended for healthcare providers who initiate and direct advanced life support in pediatric emergencies, and for first-time or renewal training to obtain a PALS course completion card. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.
PALS course includes skills stations and interactive case-based sessions that teach the participant to integrate knowledge and skills into a clinically useful discipline.
The goals of this class are to provide information to recognize the infant or child at risk for respiratory and /or cardiac arrest; strategies to prevent respiratory and/or cardiac arrest in neonates, infants and children; cognitive and psychomotor skills to resuscitate and stabilize the infant; and children in respiratory failure, shock or cardiopulmonary arrest.
